This short group project focused on user research and design for musicians. Our team reached out to a double bass player, who highlighted the fatigue and physical strain that come from balancing the instrument while playing.
In response, we developed the Bassic Saddle, a redesigned support system inspired by larger, cumbersome models but reimagined for ease of use, quick attachment, and accessibility. The design aims to relieve stress on the player’s body while remaining suitable for musicians of all ages and skill levels.
