The Zone
Modular Home Office, This project was developed during a one-week design contest for a university scholarship. The concept explores an adjustable, modular workspace designed to support productivity in a home environment.
Inspired by the lightweight partitions of Japanese paper walls, the office is composed of panels mounted on a rail system, allowing the user to fully enclose or open the space as needed. This flexibility helps balance focus and openness, keeping an eye on children, pets, or household activities while still maintaining a dedicated work zone.
For moments requiring complete privacy, the design incorporates electrochromic glass, which can instantly shift from transparent to opaque. This feature enables users to isolate themselves for quick meetings or deep work sessions, while preserving a calm and adaptable home atmosphere.
